Fairy Nails! (NOTD)

Well, my nails don't have wings or even fairies stamped on them... They are just glittery and remind me of fairies! So that's what I named them! :)

This manicure is:
  • 1 Coat of OPI Ridge Filler
  • 3 (Thin) Coats of OPI Steady As She Rose (from the Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides Collection)
  • 2 Coats of Essence Space Queen
  • 1 Coat of Topcoat (sorry, I don't remember what I used)

This is a picture of me holding a Mini True Blue Spa Hand Lotion (from Bath and Body Works) in the scent paraffin. I really like it! I think I will be getting a full sized bottle!

Steady As She Rose had a great formula, but Space Queen didn't. It was gloppy, but I loved all the glitter! I think that some thinner will make it a lot better!

That's all I have for you today! I have some posts lined up.... Stay tuned! Thanks for reading!

Tattoo Nails! (NOTD)

Hello! Happy February and Happy Groundhog Day! I have a treat for you today.... Tattoo Nails!

I really like these nails! Not only do they look like some Old School Tattoos, but they were made with some fake tattoos! Here are some step-by-step instructions on how to make your own Tattoo Nails!
  1. Paint on your base color. Make sure this base color is COMPLETELY DRY! I waited overnight!
  2. Now prepare your tattoos. From your fake tattoo sheet, cut out patterns that are nails sized. You can make them a little bigger than the nail so that they look complete.
  3. Just apply like normal, fake tattoos. Wet a towel/washcloth, set the tattoo on your nail, and wet until the image transfers.
  4. Peel off and contine with all of your nails!
  5. ADD A TOPCOAT! This is very important. If you don't then the tattoo can peel off!
  6. Enjoy your awesome, easy nail art manicure!
For my base color, I used Sephora by OPI Going Nude, Eh? For my tattoos, I used Wet 'n Wild Fantasy Makers in Wild & Wicked Face & Body Tattoos from Halloween 2011.

I am really pleased with this manicure! You will be seeing more Tattoo Nails on Private School Polished!

Ulta has come out with a new 4-Piece Nail Lacquer Mini Set, Fairytale Fashionista!

This mini set contains four mini, metallic nail colors. Perfect for spring!

I have to say, I am a little confused! This is what is on Ulta's website:

I am confused! Where is the light pink, why doesn't it describe a purple? Oh well, I hope to be going to Ulta soon, so I will check it out! I think these are beautiful colors, great for the upcoming spring!

Thanks for reading! :)

Maggie's First Time Stamping (featuring rainbow flakies!)

Hi everyone! How is your weekend going? Mine is going good!

A few days ago, I decided to try stamping for the very first time. It was a bit of a fail (it does take practice to get images to transfer perfectly), but I decided to keep it because it still looked cute!

I painted all my fingers except the ring fingers with Wet 'n Wild Black Creme, and my ring fingers in Wet 'n Wild French White Creme. I then stamped a full nail pattern (or supposed to be a full nail pattern) from BM207. I added a coat of Essie Shine of the Times from their Luxeffects Collection. The stamping was a fail, but I think it still looks cool! I got a lot of compliments! Everyone loves compliments!

I have a really cool nail design that I will be posting in the next few days! Thank you for reading! :)

Hair Look #1; Featuring Instagram

Hello everyone! How is your day going? I hope it is going well! :)

Today I am going to show you a hair look I wore a few days ago. It can be zero heat, unless you choose to use a blowdryer. Below are the instructions to acheive this look, but remember: Everyone's hair is different, so I don't know if this will work for your hair type. I tried this on my friend, and her hair was straight in the morning. Ok, onto the intructions...

Step #1: Take a shower the night before you want to weat this hair style. Wash your hair like you normally do. Make sure to get all of the shampoo/conditioner out of your hair.
Step #2: Let your hair dry half way, so it is half wet, half dry. You can either let it air dry, or you can blow dry it. Your choice as long as it is dried half way.
Step #3: Separate all of your hair into 2 sections.
Step #4: Pull the first section in front of your shoulder. Braid it in a normal braid and secure with a small ponytail. Don't make the braid too tight, but not insanely loose. Don't french braid the top either, or it will not give you very loose waves.
Step #5: Do the same with the second section of your hair.
Step #6: Go to bed, and get some sleep! Make sure you get atleast 6 hours so that your hair can completely dry!
Step #7: Wake up, and take the braid out! You should have nice wavy hair!
Step #8: Now you can pin some back, twist and pin, or braid and pin, or leave it normal like I did!

Here is my hair:

I used INSTAGRAM to edit the lighting in this photo, my hair is actually a little blonder, but I love this picture! I have an iPhone, so I used the Instagram app. It looks like this:

Thanks for reading! I thought I taught you a new hair technique! Have a great day!
